The He Whakaputanga flag, also known as the flag of the United Tribes of New Zealand, was the first official flag of New Zealand. The flag was adopted in 1834 by a group of rangatira, or chiefs, from the Far North.

With two metal grommets, this flag is easy to hang up on a flag pole. Comes with fastenings at one end to easily wear as a cape.
With a UV resistance level of 6-7 this fabric is designed to be used outside for up to 6 months before fading occurs.
Can be washed by hand or machine (in temp. less than 45°).
