Within Te Ao Maori there are four main taha that make up our hauora taha hinengaro(mind) taha tinana(body) taha wairua(spirit/soul) and taha whanau (family) and I also like to make sure we have our taha whenua (land/kaitiakitanga) in there also.
Basically we as people if we look at ourselves holistically these five pou keep us balanced. If one of our pou is lacking aroha we will not stand strong, therefore we need to return the aroha (love) back to where it belongs, which is back to thy self! That’s right selflove is where it’s at and also doing this holistically and from a Te Ao Maori perspective.
Whakamana is to empower and Hauora is our health and well-being therefore we should empower health and well-being from within ourselves so our future generations have a better and brighter future.
So enjoy and embrace your lifetime journey of self-love, self-worth, self-development and self-care because by loving oneself we are able to see just what Aroha should look, feel, sound and taste like and be able to pass it on.
