This box includes two sets of magnets aligned with two different calendar systems. The magents are in Te Reo; one is associated with the maramataka (Māori lunar calendar system), and the other is associated with the Western solar calendar system (Gregorian calendar)
The maramataka uses the phases of the moon to identify the actual period we are in and the stars that mark the different lunar months. When using this time keeping system, we mark the phase of the lunar month.
The solar calendar in this pack is a translation of the Gregorian system, including the days of the week, the associated numerical system and different solar months.
By using these magnets, you will be able to identify where you are in either calendar system at any time.
